About the Role


  • We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our high-performing PIVOT (Payment Information and View of Transactions) Team within the Treasury Services Division.


  • The Business Analysts work closely with product owners and business users to translate customer and system requirements into stories and features within a Scaled Agile environment. The Business Analyst is also very involved in team ceremonies and in ensuring our development team is aligned with expected deliverables.


  • The work is often technical and challenging as we work with legacy systems with limited documentation but the team is close-knit and committed to success.


  • The role functionally reports to a Senior Manager on the PIVOT team and receives day-to-day assignments and guidance from the Product Owner.


Key Activities


  • Analyzes business problems and/or proposed enhancements to technology solutions. Provides written recommendation on feasibility of incorporating or enhancing technology solutions based on business data, market knowledge, and impacts to other stakeholders and technology solutions. Identifies, reconciles, and resolves conflicting perspectives of various stakeholders and impacts to technology solutions.


  • Works with product owners, stakeholders (internal and external), and technical staff to establish and/or identify the product’s business value, vision, and scope. Partners with technical staff by responding to questions regarding requirements, functionality, and data to determine and clarify business value of appropriate technology solutions.


  • Analyzes, develops, and documents functional and non-functional requirements for technology solutions according to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and internal standards to ensure business needs are well understood, clearly defined, and properly aligned with overall product vision. Provides input on approach, elicits requirements using various practices and techniques.


  • Identifies gaps or underlying issues through analysis of the business problem and associated requirements to ensure identification of risks and customer impact. Provides options and recommendations for innovative ways to improve processes or technical solutions to business/product owner or stakeholders.


  • Based on SDLC, selects, creates, and maintains backlog of appropriate artifacts related to use cases, user stories, functionality issues, application glossaries, and data dictionaries and maps. If required, creates wireframes and prototypes for user interfaces, process flows, and facilities conversations to create a shared understanding.


  • Obtains endorsement of artifacts and final requirements from stakeholders. Reviews and provides feedback to peers regarding requirements and artifacts.


  • May compile metrics and reports on progress of requirements development to the project team.


  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications


  • Typically requires at least 6-15 years of relevant experience.


  • Bachelor’s degree specializing in computer science, information technology, project management, business administration, or closely related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.


  • Senior understanding of subject. Has in-depth and/or breadth of knowledge in discipline.


  • Performs work independently with limited supervision and direction. Serves as a resource for less experienced staff.

Salary:


  • $85,400 - $117,400 / Senior Level


  • $103,000 - $141,600 / Advanced Level


  • $112,300 - $154,400 / Expert-Lead Level


  • Final offers are determined by factors including the candidate’s qualifications, internal alignment considerations, district assignment, and geographic location.


Screening: United States citizenship is required for this position. This position has additional screening requirements due to the information accessed while preforming the job. These additional screenings would be initiated at the time of offer acceptance and can take up to a couple of months to be completed. You can begin work before the screening is completed; however, continued employment is contingent on acceptable screening results. The areas screened may include education/employment verification, criminal history, credit history, and reference checks.
