Two Iconic Hilton properties are looking for their next Complex Senior Sales Manager. Hilton Portland Downtown & The Duniway, a Hilton Hotel, located in central downtown, less than one block from the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and Pioneer Courthouse Square. Pioneer Place Mall, Portland Art Museum, Newmark Theatre, and several parks are within three blocks. The Duniway is a life style hotel with 327 beautiful rooms and an outstanding restaurant and bar, Mayrose. The 455 room Hilton Portland Downtown features Hop City Tavern, a grab-and-go market, event space, and a 24-hr fitness Center. Combined the "complex" has 782 rooms and 80K sq. ft. of meeting space to sell.

The ideal candidate will have 2 + years hospitality sales experience, have a passion for exceeding guest's expectations and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What will I be doing?

Specifically, you would be responsible for the following:


  • Responsibly represent the hotel through making proposals and other external sales presentations to prospective customers to solicit, explain, negotiate and close hotel sales. Utilize discretion and authority to negotiate contracts and commit company with customers and establish agreements with vendors.
  • Travel and engage in sales activities outside of the hotel to meet with and entertain customers and prospective customers, participate in tradeshows, and industry and community events to promote facilities, to make proposals, maintain contacts, and to close deals.
  • Write proposals and/or contracts to advise prospective groups for meeting space and/or banquet date, space and rate availability for large group accommodations (up to 700 guest rooms) for moderately complex meetings. Develop and quote prices for same.
  • Attend weekly sales departmental meeting and other scheduled meetings to support business operations, e.g., tentative review, lost business review, group-pick up, etc.
  • Conduct site inspections and property tours with potential customers, visiting guest rooms, meeting space and banquet facilities, as well as other hotel facilities
