Job Overview

The Specialist, Stewardship and Donor Relations position is responsible for ensuring the proper acknowledgment, recognition, reporting, and major gift donor experience. Reporting to the Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations, this role collaborates with individuals across the Foundation and Health Services teams to maintain positive and mutually rewarding relationships between the AltaMed Foundation and its donors. The Specialist will partner with development officers to determine the best strategies for effective donor stewardship. This position requires strong customer service and technological skills to ensure that internal database processes reflect the stewardship process and provide the necessary donor transparency. The role also demands the ability to generate creative solutions for recognizing and stewarding donors, thereby advancing the AltaMed Foundation’s efforts to maintain and strengthen high-quality individual relationships with donors and think strategically about donor engagement

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree preferably in liberal arts field reqired.

2. Minimum of 5 years of nonprofit organization experience in donor stewardship, donor relations required.

3. Experience writing about healthcare and medical topics for social media and donor reports.

4. Proven project management skills.

5. Recent experience with online email platforms such as Mail Chimp

6. Bilingual English/Spanish desirable.

7. Familiarity with non-profit online fundraising and CRM software, such as Raiser’s Edge or other platforms a plus.

8. Strong attention to detail.

Compensation

$63,847.68 - $79,809.60 annually

The range is subject to change.
