A local, family-owned distribution company is looking to add an Account Coordinator to their team. The Sales Coordinator will serve as the liaison to customers, providing support on order placement, order processing, shipping, and logistics tracking. The ideal candidate for this position will have high attention to detail and thrive on managing operational support-focused tasks. The Sales Coordinator requires someone who works well independently that can manage their time to meet shipping deadlines.
This position is onsite and full time, 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Upon going permanent, a full benefits package is offered that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), PTO, and 7 paid holidays.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Respond to customer order inquiries via email and phone for new orders, pending orders, and orders already delivered.
Confirm product availability with the warehouse before finalizing new orders.
Enter new orders into EDI system and confirm accuracy of pricing, quantities, etc.
Process and ship/ direct-ship all customer orders to meet delivery deadlines.
Provide order status updates and tracking information as requested.
Set up new accounts and manage weekly account updates via the CRM.
Report service requests and communicate requests to appropriate department.
Respond to invoice inquiries and provide invoice copies or payment options upon request.
Qualifications and Skills:
At least two years of previous administrative or operational support experience within the manufacturing and/or distribution industries.
Previous experience with EDI and CRM software
Proficient with MS Office suite, especially intermediate to advanced Excel skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Time management skills to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
