Position Overview:

The job profile for this position isScrum Master Advisor,which is a Band 4 Senior Contributor career track role.

The Claims & Enrollment Applications organization is looking for a skilled and motivated leader with technology acumen, an agile software delivery mindset, and demonstrated empathic collaboration.

This role will lead and coach teams for sustainability, predictability, flexibility, and attention to software quality and customer value. Success will be achieved by building rapport and trust with the team, while demonstrating reliability, attention to detail, and courage in the face of adversity with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead agile teams in the delivery of software solutions for supported core administration platforms, including QNXT and Q/CARE.

  • Represent and advocate for teams with Agile Release Train (ART) leadership and external stakeholders. Build partnerships and collaborate to resolve blockers, mitigate risks, and manage cross-team dependencies.

  • Facilitate team ceremonies to coach and drive synchronization, teamwork, innovation, problem solving, and relentless improvement grounded in agile principles.

  • Present plans, team capacity, and risks during Planning Interval (PI) Planning.

Required Experience/ Qualifications:


  • Prior experience as a Scrum Master, or in a similar role such as a Tech Lead or Project Manager.

  • Working knowledge of agile principles, and experience working in a Scaled Agile paradigm.

  • Experience within a fast-paced team supporting business milestones, production systems, compliance and audit needs, service-level agreements, and other relevant metrics and controls.

  • Demonstrable problem solving and collaboration skills within a large matrix team setting.

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills across a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.

Desired Experience/ Qualifications:


  • Experience with core healthplan administration and/or business analytics systems.

  • Experience working in a distributed software environment, with both packaged vendor solutions and in-house code.

  • Working knowledge and experience with routine delivery management and reporting functions in Jira or similar tools.

  • Working knowledge of software quality methodologies and software design patterns, and experience driving software quality with attention to non-functional requirements.

  • Experience maintaining CMS Universes, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other relevant controls, including supporting system audits and action plans.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 108,700 - 181,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
