JOB DESCRIPTION



Wood is recruiting for a Graduate Consultant to support our Carbon Advisory team.This is a client facing role that would suit a highly motivated individual with a diverse set of skills and the initiative to rise to a challenge. Wood aspires to be a leading consultant in the Carbon Advisory marketplace and, as such, is involved in some of the largest and pioneering developments and projects, which affords the potential candidate with exposure to a vast and exciting array of career opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing comprehensive CO2equivalent emissions inventories and identifying opportunities to decrease the carbon footprint of projects and operating facilities across the globe for a variety of progressive clients in the energy and mining sectors.


A variety of additional commercial and non-commercial emissions accounting-based tasks will also be expected to advance and develop Wood's position as a market leading Carbon Advisory consultancy.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Key responsibilities associated with the role are:


Data interpretation and analysis


Development and updating methodologies and tools for quantifyingCO2equivalent emissions.


Assisting Clients to map current energy and fuel usage.


Using Circular Carbon Economy principles to develop a multi-factor approach to meet wider sustainable development objectives.


Calculating Scope 1, 2 & 3 CO2equivalent emissions and compiling emissions inventories for equipment, units, facilities, and companies


Supporting colleagues to identify and screen carbon reduction opportunities.


Preparation of technical study reports and associated deliverables


Support the preparation of technical/commercial proposals.


Awareness of the business environment, market and on-going innovation in technology and research in climate-related subjects and issues


Verification of third-party inventories


Represent the company at external events and conferences.



QUALIFICATIONS



Skills / Experience



Desirable:


Experience of compiling, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets


First class verbal and written communication skills


Confident presenter and skilled at formulating attention grabbing presentation material.



Qualifications



Essential:


Degree in a relevant discipline chemical engineering, physics, sustainable development or climate related subject.


Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel



Desirable:


Post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline
