Objectives of the position: Responsible for the management of the manufacturing inventories in collaboration with local production planning, manufacturing, quality control, suppliers and customers.
Major Responsibilities of the Position:
Coordinates and executes receiving activities
Coordinates the incoming inspection processes for manufacturing materials
Coordinates and executes the storage, both offsite and onsite, of manufacturing materials
Monitors inventory usage and ensures that appropriate inventory levels are maintained
Hands-on material handling and inspection
Other Duties:
Ad hoc projects as required to support various departments from an inventory standpoint, or within the logistics function.
Coordinates and executes material kitting for production orders as needed
Coordinates and executes processing of outgoing customer orders as needed
Backup person for other logistics/purchasing functions as required
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Warehouse environment including HAZMAT handling
Lift/move heavy boxes (up to 75 lbs)
Use of stacker and pallet trucks (certification needed)
Minimum Qualifications:
High School graduate or GED equivalent
5+ years’ experience with SAP inventory management or other ERP systems
5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a medical device environment or other regulated industry
Strong work ethic and self-motivation
Work independently and in cross-functional teams with strong customer focus
Strong attention to detail and reliability in tasks requiring high accuracy
Proven ability to follow procedures in an ISO certified environment
Prioritize and execute the plan to meet deadlines
