Professional in attitude and performance in leadership of staff
Responsible for maintaining a high level of food safety and product quality through the cleaning and sanitation of equipment, utensils, and the facility.
Maintain the master sanitation schedule and cleaning checklists
Assists with developing training programs for the Sanitation department
Train sanitation workers on an ongoing basis and document all training processes and procedures properly
Monitor the mixing and use of chemicals to prevent misuse and hazards to personnel and property
Create and distribute work schedules to sanitation workers and ensure that they follow their daily cleaning duties properly
Perform inspections and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities and company protocols
Keep detailed records of all sanitation-related activities and issues, such as inspections and violations.
In instances of violations, develop a plan to correct the situation and maintains record of all corrective actions taken along with completion status.
Coordinate and execute all cleaning activities with the sanitation team, and when needed with production or maintenance.
Understanding of industry laws and consults with management to address compliance issues and make recommendations to improve processes
Manages vendor relationships in regards with cleaning supplies.
Responsible to report all food safety related issues immediately to the Quality or Operations Manager.
Complete comprehensive evaluation of sanitation processes and practices, and provide feedback for improvements or modifications
Acts as Safety Advocate for the facility and works closely with the regional EHS team as required.
Responsible for maintaining company safety environment
Responsible for effectively ensuring company procedures and policies are being followed
Education & Experience
Education Desired: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum of 6 months to 1-year related experience or training
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to lead a group of employees to safely perform their tasks and to develop their job-related abilities
Ability to interpret instructions both oral and written
Ability to understand quality standards, methods and reporting as required
Problem solver and team player
Basic knowledge and understanding of office equipment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting
1st shift opportunity working 6AM - 2:30PM, Monday - Friday
2nd shift opportunity working 3:30PM -12:00AM, Monday - Friday
Walking, standing, lifting & bending for duration of shift
