Primary Functions:
Provide support for key pursuits through the successful alignment between growth targets and winning work.
Lead the capture of new business opportunities related to GHD's business growth areas and successfully managing capture teams through relevant opportunity qualification, capture, and solution tasks.
Key areas of responsibilities include:
- Capture Management
Lead major complex multi-discipline capture efforts on priority pursuits
Organize and lead priority pursuit technical workshops and interviews
Advise markets and regions with development of the pursuit strategy, determining customer needs and identifying strengths and weaknesses of GHD in pursuit of the opportunity
Develop detailed Capture Plans inclusive of opportunity summary, competitive analysis, intended win themes, resource requirements and intended assignments, project timelines, risk analysis, return-on-investment analysis and cost of capture projections
Appoint, supervise, and collaborate strategies with the Proposal Manager
Properly communicate bid strategies to the proposal team and management
Produce non-technical proposal content, ensuring high-quality proposals
Train and mentor technical staff on priority pursuit process and executing priority pursuits
Oversee and manage internal and external debriefs for both successful and unsuccessful proposals
- Proposal Management Support
Collaborate with pursuit leadership teams in brainstorming sessions on how to creatively (and innovatively) relay win themes through intentional content, specialized graphics and imagery
Participate as an independent proposal evaluator in proposals reviews
Interview coaching and preparation when shortlisted on key pursuits; work with team to develop and refine slide deck, storyboard content and graphics, practice delivery of presentation, design and development of leave behinds
Qualifications:
BA/BS in Business or related field with minimum of 8 years Industry experience at an operational level
Consulting and project management skills
Proven ability to successfully manage large pursuit teams and complex business captures and provide advance guidance for complex scope crossing multiple market sectors and regions
Proven history of winning large, complex opportunities
Experience with similar A/E/C firms preferred
Strong communication skills both written & verbal
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
Flexible and able to meet challenging deadlines
Excellent organizational skills required with ability to multi-task and prioritize
Consistent personal ethics: integrity, dependability, initiative, and quality
