Full Stack Engineer - REMOTE

What the job looks like:

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong development skills. In this role, you must possess excellent problem-solving skills and technical knowledge with a strong aptitude for appreciating the focus, scope, and impact of your work in a much wider and forward-looking software landscape. We engage in all-day interdisciplinary pairing and mobbing in Zoom. It is important to write clean, fully-tested, and maintainable code. This team engages in fully transparent, open source development. User-centered design is what drives our day.

You have:

• Worked in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  
• 5+ years of Development experience
  
• BS (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience
  
• Strong JavaScript experience
  
• Typescript
  
• React
  
• Node JS
  
• Willingness to pair and collaborate with other developers daily
  
• Experience building, testing, and deploying applications with a team using CI/CD principles
  
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform (or similar)
  
• AWS services knowledge
  
• Experience building ReSTful APIs
  
• Experience with automated unit testing, integration, and end to end testing
  
• Superb time-management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  

Nice to have knowledge and experience:

• APIs with Express / AWS Lambda
  
• DynamoDB and Postgres database management
  
• Experience shipping React application to production
  
• Experience using a React state management library, such as Redux
  
• Developing using Test Driven Development
  
• Styling using SASS
  
• Continuous Integration with CircleCI and GitHub Actions
  
• Experience with Jest, Cypress, and/or Axe-core

The compensation for this position is $85,000 to $130,000 annually.
