Our Neoverse cores & interconnect are leading a technology disruption! We need a Senior Performance & Power bring up engineer to work with our internal design teams and engage with external partners to enable and support Arm Infrastructure hardware & software ecosystem.
The candidate will need skills in the areas of performance analysis, hands on lab experience doing silicon bring up & performance debug skills. The successful candidate should have experience with some or all the following: CPU/memory architectures, PCIe architecture and cloud system/platform architecture.
Responsibilities:
Understanding real-world Server use-cases and adding new workloads to a bring-up suite
Use Linux performance tools, SOC performance monitors, Telemetry, Top-Down, trace and debug sub system to characterize & deep dive into workloads.
Collaborating with multiple teams developing Server IP across the organization
Supporting customers with functional and performance/power debug & root cause during the bring up phase
Develop deep knowledge of CPU microarchitecture, interconnect micro-architecture design, PCIe and CHI protocols, system benchmarking techniques, and perf/power optimization methods.
Required Skills and Experience :
Obtained a Bachelor's, Master's, PhD degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
Experience with silicon bring up & hands on lab experience
Experience understanding workload performance bottlenecks across HW and SW stack, and comfortable working in a Linux environment
Understanding of general-purpose CPU microarchitecture, including knowledge of areas such as processor pipelines, caches, and memory hierarchy
Shown ability to collaborate with various engineering teams and drive performance & power observations to closure
"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience :
Understanding of Arm architecture & SW ecosystem
Understanding of critical industry server workloads and system interactions and dependencies
Proficient in analyzing, debugging and tuning performance of complex system software stacks.
Knowledge of multicore hardware, interconnect micro-architecture design, PCIe and CHI protocols.
Familiar using debugger such as Lauterbach or Arm Debugger to debug software/SOC
Familiar with scanchain, array dump, HW debug techniques
Familiar extending h/w debuggers with scripts for functional and performance debug.

Salary Range:$185,491-$250,958 per year We value people as individuals and our dedication is to reward people competitively and equitably for the work they do and the skills and experience they bring to Arm.
