Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Develop and maintain data infrastructure, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts, while implementing robust data governance and security measures.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, providing technical guidance and mentorship to the broader data team.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering, contributing to the continuous improvement of our data platform.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on cloud-based environments.
Proficiency in Terraform, SQL, and Python.
Extensive experience with AWS Cloud services, including AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, Amazon EMR, and AWS Kinesis.
Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake concepts, as well as experience with ETL tools and frameworks.
Understanding of data modeling and data architecture, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills:
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI).
Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Certifications in AWS data architecture or cloud architecture.
Experience with event-driven architectures and serverless computing.
Understanding of domain-driven design and microservices patterns.
Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.
Relevant certifications in AWS or data engineering.
