Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Buyer to join their Electrophysiology Medical Devices team in Plymouth, MN. This role is integral to the New Product Introduction (NPI) team, providing crucial procurement support for current NPI projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing raw materials, sub-assemblies, and finished goods, adhering to our client's policies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and process various types of purchase orders in line with documented procurement processes.
- Plan and schedule deliveries to optimize inventories, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Process purchase requisitions and liaise with vendors to obtain product information.
- Foster and maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers.
- Manage orders through completion and execute invoice resolution.
- Lead special projects as requested.
Required Professional Experience and Skills:
- 1-2 years of experience in purchasing/commodity management.
- Good working knowledge of Procurement concepts, procedures, and practices.
- General knowledge of SAP ERP system preferred.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
