We are seeking a candidate for a key project leadership role leading schedule operations for an AI enabling infrastructure campus of unprecedented scale (potentially greater than 2GW) and of strategic importance to Meta. The Schedule lead role will not only be a technical Schedule subject matter expert overseeing all schedule deliverables on the project and across multiple General Contractors, but also oversee a team of schedulers representing Meta that will maintain the project integrated master schedule, manage schedule reporting accuracy and quality. The successful candidate will be a critical partner for the Delivery Director, Construction Management team and Project Controls lead to forecast and help mitigate schedule related risks and issues on the project, enable commercial accountability, manage schedule health reporting/escalation and ensure that change, specifically schedule change management is effective, fair and expedient. Excellent leadership, communication, and organization skills are a must in this highly collaborative, analytical, and strategic role. This position will work closely within the DEC Business Controls team and various internal departments including Site Project Management teams, Pre-Construction, Contracts, Finance, Accounting, Sourcing and Operations Engineering.
Area Schedule Lead Responsibilities:
Lead the development and maintenance of the Integrated Master schedule, integrating all the General Contractor schedules via key interface milestones to determine and manage a holistic project schedule while holding each GC accountable for means and methods, coordination and the quality of their contract schedules. This is a key aspect of this role, ensuring project risk and schedule is holistically managed and internal business reporting is always as accurate as possible.
Technical lead in Schedule Controls on campus including baseline schedule reviews, schedule updates & reporting, schedule change management/Extension of Time (EOT) approval, delay tracking, schedule metric/quality, schedule delay mitigation, and risk facilitation/mitigation.
Responsible for application of commercial entitlement for schedule changes and Extension of Time (EOT) on the project. Provide leadership to site teams, Project Controls Analysts and Scheduler consultants for Delay Tracking, Extension of Time (EOT) requests and claims.
Support the development of delay mitigation ideas and work directly with Site Leadership to make recommendations and mitigate impacts (with the intent to resolve equitably while maintaining schedule).
Responsible for the review and approval of all GC's preconstruction Baseline Schedules. In conjunction with the Meta PreConstruction Managers. They will ensure baseline schedules meet program expectations and are delivered in the agreed upon timeline for the project.
Analyze and communicate schedule health & risk in collaboration with the onsite Project Controls Lead and Construction Management Leadership and provide escalation when needed.
Identify proactive project commercial risk in collaboration with other Project Leads, Delivery team and XFN Partners and support programmatic schedule delay review and mitigation activities.
Support Site Schedulers (consultants) on the project and provide adequate vendor management including feedback to CW Account leads on any concerns, quality issues, or additional training needed.
Strategize and drive programmatic efficiencies and opportunities for the project and the program, including continued alignment with other Schedule Leads.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent technical degree and/or 15+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
5+ years experience managing a team of construction schedulers and planners
Experience leading the scheduling and planning function for mega greenfield development projects.
Expert in Primavera P6
Experience with a variety of construction contract delivery methods commonly used in the US
Experience leading the resolution of delay claims using various methods of schedule analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with mega greenfield site development projects with enclosed building area in excess of 2MSF and budgets above $2B delivered via fast-track integrated and overlapped design construction schedules.
Experience working in matrixed organization structures
