Job Summary: This position will operate, in a safe manner, a variety of powered industrial trucks used for transporting raw material, packaging materials, and finished products to and from semi-trucks .
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Accurately complete receiving logs
Create bills of loading
Print out ID tags
Download scanners, routinely scanning all materials in and out of the warehouse
Operate stretch-wrap machine
Inspect cartons for correct date coding, proper stacking of pallets, and/or damaged cartons
Complete and assemble all documentation required for the proper recording of inventory
Maintain the stacking area in an organized manner
Assist in maintaining proper cleanliness of warehouse
Restack pallets of raw material as necessary
All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Must have the knowledge of operating scanners.
Must understand the concept of the FIFO inventory control method
Must be knowledgeable in GMP's and the HACCP program
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required in English in order to understand equipment instructions and safety manual, read and record all data associated with Shipping/Receiving operations
Must have excellent customer service skills
Must display great attention to detail
Must have the ability to lift 55.5 lbs.
Ability to perform basic mathematics skills to calculate the number of cases on a pallet and also to complete case count sheets
Ability to multiple task and work with shifting priorities is required
Must display great attention to detail
Job Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age
Must be able to obtain a Powered Industrial Truck License within 30 days of entering position
