Internship Program Overview:
Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. As an intern at GF, you'll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives.
Summary of role
Join the team that is delivering the GF story during one of the most critical, exciting times in the semiconductor industry. Reporting to the Senior Director of Executive and Employee Communications, you will leverage your communication skills and creativity to inform, engage and inspire GF employees around the globe. As the ideal candidate, you are a self-starter with strong communication and research skills. You enjoy collaborating with others and can adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You have a knack for conveying clear, consistent messaging whether written or verbal, and are skilled at editing content to quickly capture your audience's attention.
In your role of intern supporting the Employee Communication teams, you will gain:

Visibility into the inner workings of a global Corporate Communications organization

Essential Responsibilities
Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions
Draft content for social media posts (internal & external) and digital displays
Assist in developing and editing draft communications, including talking points, presentations and intranet articles
Support the global roll out of GF's Employee Value Proposition
Manage weekly global employee News Digest
Provide administrative and logistical support for employee communications campaigns and events
Support team reporting and metrics activities
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications
At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a bachelor's in communications, Public Relations or related Business degree
Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing
Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior related internship or co-op experience
Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Strong written, social media and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas with diverse audiences
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet aggressive deadlines
Highly collaborative and able to quickly adapt to change
Organized and/or strong program management skills
Skilled in Microsoft O365 applications
Understanding of PR concepts and practices - experience interning at a PR agency is a plus
Graphic design and/or video editing capabilities a plus
