Your Team & Role  

 

As a Director, Infrastructure Developer in the Container and Application Platform team, you will play a crucial role in enabling the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of the container platforms through your expertise in API development, Kubernetes, and other container technologies. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role.

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day


  • Collaborate with product owners to understand key objectives, tech leads in defining technical design and feature stories, and other team members to understand the system end-to-end and deliver robust solutions that bring about business impact and support organizational goals.

  • Deliver platform solutions for our container platforms using industry standards and emerging technologies.

  • Develop APIs using FastAPI and build patterns of infrastructure services that are consumed via self-service.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement easily consumable services and enhancements to the container platform.

  • Document and present API specs, technical diagrams, code, etc. for knowledge sharing and future reference.

  • Use programming languages including but not limited to Python, JavaScript, and Node.js.

The Skills & Expertise You Bring


  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in a related field.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

  • Knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business.

  • Ability to coach others with minimal guidance and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization.

  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and new challenges.

  • Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Advanced experience with several of the following:


  • Expert level knowledge of Kubernetes and other container orchestration platforms such as AWS ECS.

  • Strong technical experience in infrastructure development and Infrastructure as Code.

  • Proficiency developing APIs using Python FastAPI or similar frameworks.

  • Solid understanding of cloud services, networking, security, monitoring, observability, logging, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Financial/Insurance industry knowledge is a plus, not a must

The salary range for this role is from $173,500.00 to $234,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
