Job Summary

Develops, analyses, and coordinates Medical Management Operations projects. Conducts analysis and assessment of operational programs, processes and outcomes, develops metrics, and identifies performance issues. Produces management reports, develops recommendations for process improvement. Tests equipment and systems in new locations and works with IT engineers to resolve system connection issues. If working out of a hub office provides technical support on hardware and software issues as needed.

Education & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, or Health Care Administration or equivalent experience
• If supporting TRICARE contract, must be a U.S. Citizen
• If supporting TRICARE contract, must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation
• Project management, business and operational planning, and process improvement
• Data management, statistical analysis, report design, and presentation skills
• Minimum of three (3) years healthcare experience in operations, managed care, finance, and/or medical management

Preferred:

• For Operations Analysts that support physical hub operations, have prior IT support and facilities management experience

Key Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and manages work queues and projects as directed.
• Conducts statistical analysis and business modeling of performance metrics to identify areas for process improvement.
• Performs primary and secondary research independently.
• Develops management reports for performance improvement teams.
• Analyzes and reports on data, market trends, and government regulations pertaining to specific assignments.
• Prepares and analyzes detailed business plans including cost benefit analysis for both short and long-term objectives.
• Coordinates implementation of new Medical Management Operations policies and procedures.
• Coordinates staff administrative support for the hub director.
• Performs other duties assigned.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Computer Literacy: Ability to function in a multi-system Microsoft environment using Word, Outlook, TriWest Intranet, the Internet, and department software applications.

Information Management: Ability to manage large amounts of complex information easily, communicate clearly, and draw sound conclusions.

Multi-Tasking / Time Management: Prioritize and manage actions to meet changing deadlines and requirements within a high volume, high stress environment.

Problem Solving / Analysis: Ability to solve problems through systematic analysis of processes with sound judgment; has a realistic understanding of relevant issues.

Technical Skills: Statistical analysis, data management, project management concepts, and quality improvement tools and models; presentation skills

• Must be available to cover any work shift
• Works within an office environment, with minimal travel

*Annual base salary for Alaska residents: $64,314 - $78,606 depending on experience*
