We're looking for skilled backend engineers to join our small BrickLink team in Irvine! The BrickLink engineering department provides solutions and technology for all the business areas of the LEGO BrickLink. We are responsible for designing and developing the BrickLink services to encourage more people to enjoy free building by interacting with likeminded LEGO fans. This role is physically located in Irvine, CA.
Core Responsibilities
Develop IT solutions to drive the product towards the vision, as well as run and optimize daily operation.
As part of the team, take responsibility for all stages of the development process, from refinement through implementation, testing, delivery, and deployment.
IT development, balancing needs between an existing technology stack and exploring new opportunities.
Technical sparring with, and mentoring of, other Software Engineers.
Demonstrating eagerness to teach, learn and experiment with an agile mindset

In this position you will be part of a team that builds and maintains the digital products for LEGO BrickLink. You will work in a collaborative team with a product manager, UX designer, and other software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Do you have what it takes?
2+ years of experience with C# language on the .Net framework / .NET Core.
Experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud-based platforms.
Experience with databases, both relational and NoSQL
Know how to design and expose quality APIs
Been an active part of software development teams running and continuously optimizing their agile methodologies.
Delivery focused mindset
Experience in developing e-commerce/marketplace services
Experience in implementing global tax compliances
Understands Domain Driven Design and how to build loosely coupled systems.
Experience with Cloud native development, infrastructure as code and managed cloud infrastructure (e.g., DNS, CDN, Load balancing etc.) will be a plus.
Understands the OWASP top 10 risks for Web applications and how to mitigate them.
A great collaborator with effective communication skills.
Location
This role is physically based in our office in Irvine, CA. There is no opportunity for this to be a fully remote position, nor is there a budget for relocation.

Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $87,000 - $135,000 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
