The BI Architect will understand and translate business needs into analytical data models supporting long-term solutions.
Project Details:
Work with the BI Analysts & Data Architects to develop conceptual data models
Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects
Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata
Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new use cases
Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models
Lead and provide technical guidance for design and implementation of data warehouse and governance systems
Ensure data usage is in line with privacy and security policies
Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts
Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies
Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness
Establish standards and guidelines for developing data models
Guide BI Analysts and Self-Developed BI community on platform limitations and capabilities
Job Experience:
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other data related field
Advanced degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science a plus
8+ years of experience as Data Modeler /Data Architect creating data models and working in Data Architecture and Data Management solutions.
