Support the manufacture of quality electronic products through the development and maintenance of electronic test equipment. Technical contributor in the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of basic to moderately complex test equipment used in manufacturing operations, and with local suppliers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Design test equipment for PC boards and control systems. Document test equipment designs using Microsoft Office and AutoCad for basic to moderately complex tests.
Research and purchase test equipment (Hi-pot testers, oscilloscopes, etc.) for basic to moderately complex tests.
Develop computer automated test programs or ISO approved test procedures for basic to moderately complex tests.
Order equipment for test development (date acquisition hardware, vacuum fixtures, software, power supplies, etc.) for basic to moderately complex tests.
Assemble and wire test equipment (drilling mounting holes, mounting hardware, labeling, wiring, etc.) for basic to moderately complex tests.
Support Quality requests for test modifications and improvements for basic to moderately complex tests.
Train production employees to operate test equipment, and when necessary, help troubleshoot products in a production environment for basic to moderately complex tests for basic to moderately complex tests.
Work with TKE vendors of electronics to help them establish testing for basic to moderately complex tests.
Troubleshoot problems with electronic circuitry, variable frequency drives, and elevator control systems for basic to moderately complex tests.
Provide assistance in resolving quality issues including field complaints and warranty issues for basic to moderately complex tests.
Support Test Equipment Projects as a team member.
Report status, metrics, and updates as needed to local management teams.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field and 3 or more years of experience is preferred. Or a combination of relevant education and experiences will be considered
High School or Equivalent required
0-2 years of experience working in electronics
Experience programming in one or more software languages: Lab-View, Visual Basic, C Sharp, Visual C++, Test Stand or similar software package.
Effective decision-making skills are required and the ability to work well with others.
Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
Knowledge of electrical systems.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
