The function of the Sr Lead, Identity Governance and Oversight role will be to implement a business unit aligned governance framework for the identity lifecycle of Northern Trust. The role will report to the Senior Manager, Identity Governance and Oversight, ensuring execution of strategic roadmaps related to 1 st line of defense IAM governance practices. This hands-on tactical role will also be responsible for executing identity governance policy, standards and control adherence and serve as a principal partner in strengthening and maintaining productive alliances with an assigned major business unit. Additionally, this position will be instrumental in aligning with business, technology, information security and other corporate teams to establish and strengthen adoption of identity practices, standards and controls. The selected candidate will partner with IAM architecture, engineering, operations and program teams to ensure that identity governance and administration strategy and roadmaps are in alignment with other IAM capabilities and towers of work.
MAJOR DUTIES
• Implement the strategic technology and operational objectives for the identity governance and administration (IGA) tower of the Northern Trust (NT) IAM Organization for an assigned business unit
• Represent the IAM organization's identity lifecycle capabilities to the business units as well as to technology, risk and audit teams
• Execute IGA Tower practices associated with Birthright Access, Transfer Certifications, Termination Services as well as Access Certifications for an assigned business unit
• Ensure proper integration of IGA functions for the workforce, clients and the cloud(s); partnership with IAM Architecture, Engineering and Operations
• Enforce IGA Tower standards and controls across NT, whether applications and platforms are centrally or de-centrally managed
• Lead identity metrics and analytics collection and reporting for an assigned business unit
• Partner with business aligned technology teams to onboard all business critical applications and platforms to the IAM suite of tools
• Responsible for business unit IAM related communications and progress reporting
• Responsible for performing enterprise level training of access management principles, practices, standards and controls
• Responsible for implementing advanced IGA functions, including Role Based Access design and implementation and Segregation of Duties and Toxic Combination identification and remediation

GENERAL PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SKILLS
Responsible for managing large scale, enterprise-wide Programs with multiple projects and work streams. Programs involve delivery of critical strategic business capabilities or regulatory changes that impact multiple business units or disciplines. The Project Management function manages a BU project or program to successful outcome. This role is responsible for aligning resources, overseeing the budget, creating project plans and tracking key milestones/risks/dependencies. This is the key coordinator to ensure Implementation of critical business capabilities or regulatory change.
• Focus of role is on execution of a program initiated to deliver a change in the strategic direction of business function activities; expansion of critical business capabilities or implementation of cross business unit regulatory change.
• Manages implementation of complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues
• Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business and technology to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity
• Communication of program objectives; risks; issues and overall status to multiple levels of the organization.
• Facilitation of cross discipline (business unit) coordination for decision making regarding scope; prioritization and issue resolution.

Qualifications -
• Broad understanding of identity and access management, with expert knowledge in identity governance and administration preferred
• Understanding of identity related regulatory requirements for multiple global regions
• Strong aptitude to develop and maintain internal and external business relationships and to leverage those relationships in pursuit of day-to-day goals and responsibilities
• Excellent consultative skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
• In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required
• Knowledge of information security, network management, operating systems, software development, database systems and information technology concepts preferred
• Analytical and problem solving skills are required
• A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required
• Industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, Cisco, SANS, etc. is preferred
