Test set up of Automotive HVAC systems, modules, heat exchangers or sub-components such as blowers and actuators in order to perform performance measurements or durability life cycle testing
Learn the principles of a refrigeration cycle and the function of all the components and be proficient in diagnosing refrigerant system issues
Installation of instrumentation and equipment to monitor the test parameters including measurements of temperature, pressure and flow
Interface with computer based electronic test systems
Understand and execute tests efficiently and correctly
Observes consistency in test data, interpretsresults and report irregularities to test engineer
Learn to diagnosis and resolve test component or bench issues, perform basic repairs and maintenance
Ability to cross training in various Test Laboratory positions, become proficient in multiple test bench operations
Take direction from test area supervisor and senior test technicians for daily assignments
Must keep work area clean and orderly
QUALIFICATIONS
In pursuit of a college degree in a related mechanical discipline: AAS Automotive/Mechanical/Electrical Technology
Effective interpersonal skills. Must work and communicate well with co-workers
Proficient with PC based software such as MS Windows/Office
Able to write routine reports, procedures, and correspondence
Able to communicate effectively with peers, managers, and directors, and to present to groups of customers or employees of the organization
Values and considers the perspectives and backgrounds of all parties
Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions provided in both verbal and written communications
