This position is part of the AC eCompressor Design and Development Engineering Team, with a focus specifically on modeling and improving product reliability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assessment of the reliability of current compressor designs
Develop compressor reliability models through empirical testing and physics theory
Develop accelerated compressor life tests
Contribution to current and future compressor designs for reliability improvement
Work with FEA models to understand compressor loadings and stress
Support validation, launch, and production problem-solving activities
Participate in innovation, product cost, and quality improvement initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Enginieering or similar Engineering discipline is required
2 or more years of experience in Relability Engineering is required
Demonstrated background in Reliability Studies, Weibull Analyses, FMEA, etc is required
Product or design engineering experience is preferred
Statistics software experience (Minitab, etc.) is preferred
Familiarity with 3D modeling software (NX, SolidWorks, etc.) is preferred
Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is preferred
