Walmart Specialty Pharmacy is a one-off business unit within Walmart; specialized in the delivery of low/limited distributed pharmaceuticals to patients throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Unlike a traditional or retail pharmacy, Specialty Pharmacy manages and distributes life sustaining medicines to patients with extremely challenging illnesses. We are predominately a patient contact center, but also operate a fully functional pharmacy with an entire team of pharmacy professionals. While we are not patient facing, we are fully engaged with our customers, patients, and medical practitioners throughout the country.

This position is responsible for the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.
We are currently hiring a full-time 1st shift Pharmacy Technician in Training in Orlando, FL. You must be available to work between the hours of 6am to 6pm.
Primary set schedule is offered. Schedules are subject to change to meet business need and due to associate availability. Must have flexibility to work any day during the week between shift availability times as needed for facility holiday closures, training, and overtime.
The job duties include:
Maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity by utilizing automated systems, performing cycle counts, and monitoring expiration dates.
Operating and troubleshooting pill counters and other pharmacy technology to ensure proper function and minimize breakage.
Restocking and replenishing medication in appropriate locations, reporting low stock levels, and ensuring proper storage.
Supporting the pharmacy with reporting and paperwork, including entering data into systems and creating reports.
Maintaining the pharmacy's professional reputation and delivering products and services to patients in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and corporate policies.
Assisting in the prescription fulfillment process under the supervision of a pharmacist in an automated central fill pharmacy.
Complying with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Completing work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with others, and adapting to change.
