Pay: $55,000-$65,000 per year plus annual bonus opportunity

The position will be an addition to the Engineering Excellence division Accounting and Finance team located in Cincinnati, OH. This division provides commercial and construction HVAC services nationwide as a part of a multi-billion dollar, industry-leading company.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for Accounting, Finance, and Planning/ Analysis functions. This role will be under general supervision, but works independently daily.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Preparing and posting of monthly journal entries for month close of financials, journal entries and account reconciliation's with varying degree of difficulty
Maintain and execute Treasury controls for multiple business units
Provide accurate and timely financial information and analysis to management
Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions based on accounting policies and GAAP
Analyze general ledger accounts to identify and report issues, collaborate to develop and implement timely solutions
Collaborate with different functional teams contributing to a disciplined financial statement close
Identify process improvement areas, suggest solutions, collaborate to implement
Maintain process documentation to support internal control compliance
Assist with internal, external and compliance audit support
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, with pursuit of continued education or certification (CPA, CMA, Graduate programs)
Must understand full cycle accounting
Strong analytical skills
2 years related work experience
Strong Excel skills
Proficiency with SAP, or similar ERP applications is a plus
Proven ability to work closely with personnel from various departments and levels of management
Must be flexible and willing to take on new roles and responsibilities
Highly motivated and dedicated to contributing to the growth and success of the company, along with their own career
Effective communication skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision, taking ownership of assigned tasks
Reliable, driven, self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Willing to work beyond normal scheduled work hours as necessary
Detail oriented, deadline driven, organized individual able to handle multiple tasks while working independently or as part of a team across multiple departments
Understanding of GAAP/IFRS
