Position Summary The Financial Services Coordinator will be responsible for oversight and management of fiscal processes for multiple units. This involves daily collaboration with internal and external individuals and units to provide efficient and timely support and analysis that includes reconciling and providing budget balances, payroll accounting, and ensuring the proper application of university accounting policies.

This position employs generally accepted accounting principles and theory of internal control with technical theory, and statistical methods to record, analyze and interpret revenue, expenditure and other business information. This position devises, implements, maintains, and interprets general accounting systems and reports for multiple units.

This position works closely with the Multi-unit Manager, other financial services coordinator team members, the college Fiscal Manager, and the Assistant Dean for Finance to support the budget and financial needs of multiple units across all fund types, to include E&G, Foundation, Designated Operations and other fund types, as applicable in the units this position supports. In addition, this position will work directly with unit stakeholders to support budgetary monitoring, fund reconciliation, and fulfill the budget and financial needs of departments in the College.

This position is required to be physically on campus 3-5 days per work week. Remote work may be available based upon business need. A copy of a Remote Work Agreement shall be retained in the employee’s electronic personnel file with Human Resources.

We are recruiting to fill four open positions.
Minimum Qualifications from Classification - Bachelor’s degree with CPA or PA certificate; OR

- Bachelor’s degree with 30 quarter (20 semester) hours of college-level Accounting, OR

- 30 quarter (20 semester) hours of Accounting courses AND three years of Accounting experience.

Accounting experience must include at least 3 of the following:

- Preparing transactions to be recorded in records of original entry;

- Preparing journal entries, posting from journals to general ledger, or preparing original general ledger entries;

- Summarizing data from a ledger to a trial balance;

- Closing accounts at the end of an accounting period;

- Applying PC spreadsheet, database, and word processing software;

- Processing data using a computer.

Work Days/Hours Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement The starting salary rate for this position will be between $23.45 and $26.97 per hour. The starting salary may be negotiable above this range, however it will be dependent upon the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities of the chosen candidate, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
