Job Description:

PURPOSE
Maintains and repairs production and peripheral machinery and equipment, and maintains and repairs plant utilities utilizing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and welding skills. Also performs minor building repairs and outdoor maintenance.

1.Maintenance Scheduling:Create and manage maintenance schedules, generating work orders for scheduled tasks and ensuring timely execution.
2.Preventive Maintenance Plans:Prepare and implement preventive maintenance plans aligned with the organizations maintenance goals.
3.Inventory Management:Maintain parts inventory to ensure availability of necessary components for maintenance tasks.
4.Procedural Documentation:Develop and update procedural manuals that clearly explain how to perform specific maintenance tasks.
5.Cost Estimation:Estimate costs of labor and parts for industrial equipment repairs and maintenance.
6.Schedule Adjustments:Adjust maintenance schedules to accommodate unexpected emergency work as needed.
7.Manager Support:Assist and support the maintenance manager in daily operations and strategic planning.
8.Liaison Role:Serve as a liaison between the maintenance department and operations, facilitating clear communication and collaboration.
9.Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records and files essential to effective maintenance management.
10.Coordination:Coordinate efforts between maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors to ensure smooth operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSlisted below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be successful in this position.
Education, Training and/or Experience
1. High school diploma or vocational school training.
2. Minimum two years of mechanical or electrical maintenance work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics
1. Basic experience with Microsoft Office applications and use of intranet and internet.
2. Moderate mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic fundamentals of maintenance.
3. Developed troubleshooting skills to determine causes of operating errors and resolve problems.
4. Working knowledge of safety codes and other regulatory requirements.
5. Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
6. Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
7. Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as chemical labels, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
8. High degree of initiative and independent judgment.
9. Ability to express self effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
10. Ability to tactfully and effectively deal with public and staff in a personable and professional manner.
11. Maintains a high level of energy and a consistent positive attitude.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Millwright certification.
2. Technical training with related equipment.
3. Exposure to high-speed equipment.

1. Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment and industrial equipment.
2. Requires walking, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 75 lbs. regularly and independently. Majority of time spent standing to perform job duties.
3. Nature of work requires depth perception, normal vision, normal finger dexterity and ability to crouch, reach, hear, communicate and exchange information at normal speaking levels.
4. Requires occasional evening and weekend hours as business needs demand.
5. Requires participation and attendance at organization sponsored events and meetings.

1. Majority of work performed in a food production environment and a general office environment.

5. May work overtime as required by the Department Head.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
