This position is responsible for operating the aircraft in accordance with the approved aircraft flight manual, federal aviation regulations, and the Tyson Foods flight operations manual. The Captain reports directly to the Chief Pilot and performs the duties of Pilot in Command on assigned flights.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Full authority and responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft for assigned flights
Supervises all crew members assigned to the flight
Verifies that the preflight inspection has been completed prior to departure
Confirms that all required equipment, paperwork, and supplies are onboard the aircraft
Completes a weather briefing for departure, enroute, destination, and alternate airports
Reviews aircraft performance, along with calculating weight and balance to ensure that the flight will be conducted within aircraft operating limits
Reports a flight cancellation or diversion to the Dispatcher and Chief Pilot
Coordinates with lead passenger concerning passenger arrangements
Utilizes cockpit flows and checklists according to the aircraft manufacturer's guidance
Ensures a thorough post flight inspection is completed following each flight
Completes all required trip paperwork
REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid and current FAA Airline Transport Certificate
First Class medical certificate
Restricted radiotelephone operator permit
Current U.S. passport
Bachelor's degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum flight time of 2000 hours with 500 hours multiengine preferred
Falcon 2000 EASy, Gulfstream GVII, GVIII, or Global 7500 type rating preferred
Must hold or be able to obtain the appropriate type ratings for the aircraft to be flown
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer skills
Must consent to and pass a 10-year background check to include: employment history, FAA database records, and driving records
TRAVEL: Regular domestic and occasional international travel required
