Job Description Summary
This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of functions including, but not limited to, the following:
Take and process customer orders for ready-mixed concrete
Schedule orders and dispatch trucks
Communicate with customers and provide exceptional customer service
Collaborate with all departments
Organize and send requested reports and/or order information to customers
Keep the Customer Service/Dispatch Manager and sales department informed of problems or concerns throughout the day that may require their knowledge or attention
Communicate directly with the Customer Service/Dispatch Manager regarding any available delivery slots when the schedule books up
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Candidate must be energetic and customer friendly with the ability to work in a fast paced team atmosphere that focuses around the customer in the concrete & construction industry.
Strong computer skills
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervision
Demonstrate good performance, safety and attendance
Demonstrate a willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays, especially during the summer season
Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Dispatchers, Drivers and other employees
Demonstrate the ability to conform to and maintain MSHA, OSHA, DOT and all other company or governmental state rules and regulations.
Pre employment screenings are required.
Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
Education/Experience
High school graduate or equivalent
Customer service experience
Dispatch experience is preferred
Readymix experience is preferred
