Job Description
The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a non tenure-track lecturer position (9-month appointment) in the area of Biomedical Engineering to as soon as Spring 2024, if not start Fall 2024.
The successful candidate will teach up to six (6) biomedical engineering undergraduate and graduate classes per academic year. The essential functions for this position include: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in biomedical engineering, advising undergraduate students, advising senior design projects, advising undergraduate honors students, and serving on departmental and/or college committees where appropriate. The Department of Biomedical Engineering currently has 13 full-time faculty members, approximately 28 graduate students, and 370 undergraduates. The department expects to significantly expand its BME faculty and student count over the next few years. Additional information about the Department can be obtained at bme.umass.edu.
