The Senior eDiscovery Project Manager is a member of the firm’s Practice Solutions team. The Senior eDiscovery Project Manager provides project management support to members of the firm’s eDiscovery Team and the Matter Teams utilizing eDiscovery services. The Senior eDiscovery Project Manager also establishes and maintains standardized processes for the delivery of eDiscovery services, assists in developing training and education programs for the eDiscovery Team and Matter Teams, and managing service provider deliverables. This is a Firmwide, full-time, exempt position and can be resident in our Austin, Dallas, or Houston office.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver project management support to the eDiscovery Team and Matter Teams on matters involving eDiscovery, including monitoring deadlines, deliverables and dependencies.
Work with the eDiscovery Team and Matter Teams to design and implement best practices for document and data management.
Coordinate the QC and completion of work requests between Matter Teams and vendor teams.
Develop and maintain protocols for project onboarding and closing, post-mortem reporting, and document retention and disposition activities.
Develop, harmonize and update templates, playbooks, guidelines, decision logs, reports, and other document review tools.
Monitor the firm’s eDiscovery Managed Service Provider’s service delivery, activities and performance, and assist in managing the firm’s relationship with the service provider.
Develop and maintain a functional and current understanding of defensible practices, case law and industry guidance related to eDiscovery.
Work with eDiscovery Manager to identify and implement innovative technologies to improve eDiscovery service delivery and increase productivity.
Support administrative processes related to service management including timekeeping, forecasting, reporting, billing and invoicing.
Other tasks as assigned and/or requested by the eDiscovery Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; JD or MBA is preferred
5+ years of project management experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment (litigation or eDiscovery) required.
Experience working with vendors on eDiscovery pricing proposals and project management.
Must have Relativity and database management experience. Relativity Certified Admin credentials preferred but not required.
Strong analytical and logic skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including having the ability to deal with difficult situations and manage conflicts to successful resolutions.
Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written or oral form.
Ability to work within timelines and budget parameters.
Ability to delegate tasks to appropriate inter-department team members.

Extent of Contact (within and outside the firm)
This position requires contact with individuals within and outside the firm as follows:
Extensive daily contact with lawyers, staff and colleagues across all firm offices.
Daily contact with vendors.
Moderate degree of contact with clients.
Daily contact with peers in the litigation support area.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift boxes of files weighing approximately 15 pounds.
Must be able to routinely lift and carry file folders weighing up to 5-10 pounds.
Must be able to spend long periods of time working at computer workstation.
Must be able to lift, squat, kneel and bend.
Working Condition and Environment
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
This role may be hybrid and will require a minimum of three days per week (or at least 60%) present in the office, and up to two days per week (40%) may be performed remotely.
Position is full-time and requires a five-day workweek and standard hours as outlined in the firm policy manual. Work may require more than the regularly scheduled hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
Must be available to work additional hours, including weekend hours, when necessary to meet established deadlines or stay current with occasional peaks in workload. Must be willing to change regular work schedule to meet the needs of the firm.
Must be able to perform essential duties of the position with time constraints and frequent interruptions.
Ability to work well in high pressure environments.
