Aegis Aerospace is currently looking for a Mission Integration Engineer for our Commercial Space Services team in Houston, Texas.
The ideal candidate:
Will be able to lead both the analytical and physical integration of customer experiments for MISSE-FF missions and our lunar surface missions. The successful candidate will be a proactive, organized individual who is comfortable with problem solving and working with many different types of experiments/technologies. They will provide guidance to customers, document customer requirements, set and follow mission schedules and processes, and help perform hands-on integration of customer experiments into MISSE-FF Science Carriers and on our lunar surface experiment platforms.

Overview:
The CSS team implements Aegis' commercial Space Testing as a Service (STaaS) line of business that customers use to obtain spaceflight heritage for their new products, reduce risk for their new technologies, and conduct basic science in orbit and on the surface of the Moon. STaaS is enabled by Aegis' commercial MISSE-FF platform attached to the International Space Station, its M1 Free-flying Satellite Bus and its two lunar surface platforms scheduled for launch in 2025.
The individual who fills this position leads the analytical and physical integration of customer experiments for MISSE-FF and/or lunar platform missions. This position is the primary point of contact for MISSE-FF customers during the integration phase of a MISSE-FF mission and the primary MISSE-FF point of contact for NASA for completing the ISS integration process. This position provides a unique opportunity to mix analytical and project management skills with some hands-on work with flight hardware.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact for MISSE-FF and Aegis' lunar platform customers
Project management of assigned missions that includes project budgeting and scheduling
Assist MISSE-FF and lunar platform customers meet ISS and launch vehicle requirements
Develop and maintain mission documentation such as interface definition documents, systems requirements, design documents, test plans and procedures, and project presentations
Assist with hands-on assembly and integration of flight and ground support hardware
Assist with functional testing of the MISSE-FF carriers, as required
Support MISSE-FF on-orbit operations, as required
Extended work schedule may be occasionally required for mission support
Other duties as assigned
Some travel (~10%) may be required
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or another STEM field
At least 3 years of experience
Strong time management and project management skills
Excellent communication skills
Highly dependable, self-motivated, and accountable
Comfortable working with senior executives, scientists, engineers, and customers
US. citizen or permanent resident, ability to pass a government background check
Preferred
Experience with ISS payload integration and safety processes
Mechanical, Electrical, Material or Aerospace engineering degree
MS Project experience
