Job Summary

Process Engineer Technician 

Role Description

The Process Engineer will drive the deployment of optimal disassembly and material handling practices using LEAN methodologies. The scope includes but is not limited to:

·  Specifying the type of test to be performed, compiling data, and making recommendations for product design changes and final assembly standards. This will include the use of Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis using Six Sigma principles.

·  Ensuring alignment between operational processes and environmental, safety and quality standards.

·  Identifying critical risks to deployment of standardized processes, and recommending, developing, and implementing solutions to mitigate such risks.

·  Failure/Data Analysis: Plans, develops, and implements technically complex procedures for the testing and evaluation of soon to be released products.

Role Qualifications


  • Knowledge of DOE, LOTO, 3 Phase Power Systems, Controls, risk assessments 

  • Knowledge of material interaction in industrial shredding operations

  • Familiarity with industrial machines, (conveyors, gearboxes, dust collectors, and shredders)

  • Collaboration skills working with cross functional partners

  • Project management skills 

  • Analytical skills, including the ability to change process and equipment settings to accommodate for DOE  

  • Experience in keynote and numbers

  • Management of equipment and spare maintenance and upgrades

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master’s degree a plus)

Preferred Qualifications


  • Recycling knowledge

Knowledge of material interaction in industrial shredding operations
