Job Details:




SUMMARY:



The Procurement Intern for the 2025 Summer Session will have a 10 week immersion within the Tyson Global Procurement team at their Springdale corporate office on Thompson St. This role is expected to work under the supervision of various teams n Procurement as well as potentially other business and functional stakeholders including the International Team to support various special projects. The 10 week program will begin the week after Memorial Day and would end the 2nd week in August. The intern will have opportunity to network with other interns across other Supply Chain functions and the Tyson enterprise.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



-Role will provide various support across several Procurement teams during the 10 week program.


Rough structure is expected to be as noted below:


- Week 1: Join-up - Orientation, welcome lunch, introductions


- Weeks 2-4: Open immersion (depending on candidate selected and their area of interest)


- Weeks 5-7: Direct Team immersion


- Weeks 8-10: Indirect Team immersion


- During these weeks, Role could be under the guidance of various leaders learning and supporting areas, subjects or projects of need or interest


- Position is expected to support needs from each team at the time of the intern's immersion to deliver value while also learning the functions of the Procurement organization.


As part of the program, role will be expected to give an exit presentation to Procurement leadership related to an assigned case as well as provide improvement opportunities for future internships



REQUIREMENTS:



Education: Rising college Juniors and Seniors with at least one year of school remaining. Pursuing bachelor's degree required. Supply Chain/Procurement majors preferred. If you are pursuing further education after completion of your degree, please note this on your resume.


Experience: None required, some work experience preferred.


Computer Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.


Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication.


Supervisory: None


Travel: None
