Description of Services/Responsibilities Include: This is a Resident Consultant who will work within the AWS cloud to provide on-site assistance to our project partner.
• Assist the Customer with general review of conceptual architectural models using available AWS Services in the AWS Top Secret, Secret, GovCloud, and U.S. Commercial Regions, while also taking into consideration AWS Services on the roadmap for release into this region, which may include reviewing the Customer's constraints and dependencies, providing the Customer potential alternatives and helping the Customer develop associated evaluation criteria • Assist the Customer with reviewing possible deployment patterns for its environment using available AWS Services in the AWS Top Secret, Secret, GovCloud, and U.S. Commercial Regions, while also taking into consideration AWS Services on the roadmap for release into these regions (e.g., re-hosting, refactoring, revising, rebuilding, and replacing) • Assist the Customer with reviewing the Customer's current architecture, dependencies and operational requirements in the AWS Top Secret, Secret, GovCloud, and U.S. Commercial Regions using available AWS Services, while also taking into consideration AWS Services on the roadmap for release into these regions • Advise the Customer on general best practices for architecting its environment using available AWS Services in the AWS Top Secret, Secret, GovCloud, and U.S. Commercial Regions, while also taking into consideration AWS Services on the roadmap for release into these regions. This may include general best practices applicable to the Customer's identified use case(s) • Provide the Customer with documentation/artifacts • Integrate into the Customer team's daily workflow, including working assigned tasks, attending daily stand-ups and periodic technical exchange meetings, planning work for specific features, conducting demonstrations and other routine activities to support the Customer • Implement proposed solutions by developing and integrating infrastructure-as-code, scripts, and other automation code into the Customer's software baseline, and deploying into customer development AWS accounts (special circumstances may also require deployments to test and production accounts). • Ability to integrate with a team and be onsite 5x a week with potential for occasional travel to Dulles VA or Dallas TX on an as needed basis
Basic Requirements:
• Proficient experience with one or more of the following programming languages/ technologies: Bash, Python, PowerShell, Typescript • Proficient experience with one or more of the following CI/CD/Automation/DevOps tools (Git, Ansible, Jenkins, GitOps) and Operating Systems (Linux and/or Windows) • Proven hands-on experience with setting up cloud environment with AWS tools and services • Proven experience building infrastructure as code technologies including Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK • Experience with software development lifecycle and agile/iterative methodologies • Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with containers and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to lead effectively across organizations
