DEPARTMENT PURPOSE AND STRUCTURE The U.S. Marketing & Business Development team (U.S. MKT Team) is a sophisticated group of experienced professionals charged with guiding the Firm's fee earners to grow U.S. and global revenues, expand existing client relationships and strategically tackle new client pursuits.

ROLE PURPOSE The Marketing & Business Development Operations Manager role is a fantastic opportunity to gain global experience working for one of the largest law firms in the world and to learn the unique approach that a truly global firm utilizes towards business development and marketing. Our U.S. team works cooperatively with our colleagues located in close to 50 offices throughout the world as one integrated team.
This Marketing & Business Development Operations Manager is responsible for the support and execution of the marketing vision and priorities both in terms of driving/supporting the implementation of key initiatives, as well as providing strategic guidance. This role will require significant engagement with leaders across the U.S. Marketing & BD team, the U.S. partnership and broader organization.

CONTEXT This role represents a unique opportunity to work across the areas of strategy, planning and marketing. This role will be involved in operations management, as well as the development and execution of strategies in a complex business environment at the direction of senior leadership within the U.S.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support and drive the strategy and operations that allow the U.S. Marketing & Business Development team to design and execute leading edge programs that create marketplace distinction, accelerate client acquisition, and drive business growth
Drive implementation of cross-departmental marketing and communications initiatives in collaboration with relevant teams
Assist other team members with interpreting and executing the CMBDO's vision and intent regarding upcoming and ongoing marketing initiatives
Provide relevant analyses, recommendations, and reports to leadership
Direct leadership and operational communications to key audiences and stakeholders, as well as contribute to the drafting and preparation of business-wide communications
Assist leadership with various administrative tasks, such as budget planning, providing necessary preparation documents, participating in monthly/quarterly reviews, and developing new marketing strategies
Develop agendas for meetings and discussions with the marketing team in a way that promotes collaboration
Coordinate and execute special projects for the CMBDO
TEAM This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing & Business Development Strategy & Operations and will work closely with all the U.S. Business Development and Marketing team.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5 years of legal or professional services experience working in a high-profile, fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and strong client focus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Ability to build strong relationships and interact with all levels within the firm, including top leadership.
A self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and drive forward multiple projects.
Experience in operations-led transformation via processes and best practices.
Ability to coordinate across many constituents.
Expert in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams.
Bachelor's degree required.
This role is open for individuals based in New York or Boston. For individuals assigned to or hired for this opportunity in New York, the estimated annualized base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $173,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on the overall qualifications of the individual applicant for the position and other job-related factors permitted by law.
