In support of Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault, we are seeking a Senior CAD/Requirements Specialist with experience in supporting DOD Federal acquisition programs; knowledge of policy/ principles/organizational protocols.

Requirements:

Develop design and layout of systems, units, and/or components to carry out design concepts and requirements. Integrate renderings of other CAD Operators/Specialists and interface with engineering on revisions. Coordinate revising tasks with Associate CAD Operators/Specialists. Critique products of other CAD Operators/Specialists.

The specific requirements and tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide CAD support to the ACV Program, provide analytical support for the DOORS Database for the ACV Program, use computer resources provided by the government, and provide a status report IAW CDRL A009.
  • Obtain and maintain SIPRNet access in order to support the development of all classified documents;
  • Review, develop, and maintain CAD drawings and models IAW PM AAA CM processes for all ACV variants;
  • Review and document issues with drawings and models, coordinate the resolution of the issues, and provide feedback to the Government;
  • Update the CAD products based on approved ECPs;
  • Develop concept 3D designs and perform modeling analyses (e.g., space claim, volume and interference checks);
  • Review vehicle Contractor ECPs for the ACV;
  • Support CM activities (e.g. CCBs, ECPs, RFVs, Deviations, Functional Configuration Audits, and Physical Configuration Audits);
  • Review and comment on technical review, Requirement, CM, and TDP contractor deliveries;
  • Review system, subsystem and component requirements for hardware, software, and firmware, the associated traceability and the parts/TDP connection (functional to physical);
  • Review ECP/PQDR/FIWI/MI/TM/training documents;
  • Perform TDP/DOORS change control;
  • Review drawings and TDPs/DOORS deliveries;
  • Incorporate ECP information into DOORS (e.g. DT/OT/LF/IDR/FCA);
  • Track the development of, and control changes to functional and product baseline documentation for hardware, software, and firmware;
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the functional and product baselines to ensure form, fit, and function of the platform;
  • Update DOORS requirements/drawings for ECPs after take over product baseline control;
  • Perform searches of the CM system to gather data; and
  • Review BOM, parts lists and drawings; in particular review the specification drawings relative to DOORS.
  • This position requires the use of both 2D (e.g., dwg, .C4, and PDF) and 3D (e.g., CREO) CAD files and Windchill. All drawings and models developed shall be in accordance to American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Y14.100 standards and AAV/ACV drawing and modeling guidance.

Education/Experience:

Bachelors Degree and six (6) years of relevant experience including with DoD standards. Supervision of other CAD Operator(s)/Specialist(s). Experience may substitute for degree.

Specific/Preferred Requirements:

Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
