Location: warrensburg, Missouri
Perform general building maintenance to include: replace drop ceiling tiles, replace damaged floor tile, repair torn carpet, install bath accessories and towel bars, adjust and change door closers, caulk window leaks, build and install new interior doors, patch and repair sheet rock walls. Repair office furniture. Repair bath partitions. Patch cement sidewalks. Mount outside furniture in cement. Prepare University for commencements.

Working from blueprints, drawings, sketches, or oral instruction, lays out all work (both rough and finished) for the construction and repair of structural woodwork and equipment as well as cabinets, office equipment, and other high grade furniture.
Matches material for color, grain, or texture to include staining, varnishing, or painting assembled articles.
Is knowledgeable of all kinds and grades of materials, supplies, and hardware.
Operates all carpenter hand tools and power equipment.
Secures all materials, supplies, and tools that are needed to complete work assignments.
Maintains and repairs all shop tools and equipment.
Wears appropriate personal protective equipment and follows safe working practices.
Technical trades, not associated with a carpentry field that this position is required to perform: - 40%
Installation and repair carpet both glue down and stretch.
Taping and texturing of dry wall and repair.
Concrete forming, pouring, finishing, and repairing.
Ceramic, quarry, and mosaic tile installation.
Chain link installation.
Epoxy and specialty coating installation.
Glass installation and repair.
Basic cabinet construction.
Minor masonry block wall repair.
Installation of metal vehicle barrier gates
Directs and instructs assigned personnel in the work group. - 5%
Performs the work of Carpenter I’s other carpenter positions. - 5%
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of related trade school or related military experience may be substituted for experience in on a 1-year for 1-year basis.
Experience:
Four years carpentry experience as a seasoned trades person.
Physical/Environmental Factors:
Exposure to fumes and/or chemicals
Lifting (weight) - 50 lbs
