A Day in the Life

The Field Marketing Manager is an individual contributor and is a field- and customer-focused member of the US Marketing Organization for Acute Care and Monitoring. They align with internal and external stakeholders to execute and accelerate meaningful outcomes for strategic organizational initiatives related to market penetration and share for their assigned categories - BIS™ processed EEG monitoring and McGrath™ MAC video laryngoscopy - and geography - the US.

This business is headquartered in Boulder, CO. This role is open to remote in the US for well qualified candidates.

Acute Care and Monitoring is part of the Medical Surgical Portfolio at Medtronic. The Medical Surgical Portfolio strives to enable earlier diagnosis, better treatment, faster complication-free recovery, and enhanced patient outcomes through less invasive surgical solutions.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:


  • Work closely with marketing, commercial, and Research and Medical Affairs teams to develop strategies and implement tactics for market development and/or share gain at the account level and to support execution of activities such as regional tradeshows, peer-to-peer events, and fellows and hands-on courses

  • Implement regional segmentation strategies and develop regional targeting to identify, prioritize and capture new opportunities for field sales and account-based marketing

  • Work closely with Sales Leaders and their teams to transfer knowledge and best practices to accelerate core technology adoption in the US

  • Foster strong relationships with customers, society partners, and Key Opinion Leaders

  • Monitor competitor activity and develop deep customer insights, serving as the primary communication conduit to internal teams to inform strategies and initiatives

  • In partnership with Global Integrated Marketing, create assets that support sales and drive product adoption and utilization

  • Leverage global marketing campaigns effectively and develop and deploy regional marketing campaigns customized to key accounts, customers and decisionmakers

  • In partnership with Global Integrated Marketing, develop and execute account-based demand generation programs for existing and pipeline products, leveraging digital and traditional marketing tactics such as account-based advertising, email campaigns, social media activity, and direct mail

  • Monitor metrics to ensure achievement of business objectives and provide regular performance summaries of activities and their effectiveness

  • Contribute to the strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with the global marketing plan and strategy and US business priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in sales or marketing for products in highly competitive, saturated markets

  • Experience managing large projects or processes that achieve outcomes for strategic organizational initiatives

  • Ability to build rapport and credibility with customers, field sales, and internal partners

  • Self-motivation and autonomy, taking ownership of the work without prompting to drive productivity and results with limited oversight from manager

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$96,800.00 - $145,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
