Aldevron is seeking a highly ambitious and experienced Senior Manager of Strategy to join our dynamic Global Marketing and Strategy team. This role is pivotal to strategy creation and deployment across the organization and will drive market and competitive research and analysis. The ideal candidate has an outstanding analytical capabilities with an excitement for bringing rigorous data analysis to bear on strategic decisions. This person must be excited to conduct primary and secondary research, analyze complex data sets, write compelling slides and strategy stories, and participate in the end-to-end strategy planning process.



This role is part of the Strategy team and will be fully remote. You will report to the VP of Strategy responsible for end-to-end strategic planning across the organization.




In this role, you will have the opportunity to:



  • Conduct primary and secondary research on market, customers, and competitors to assess trends, customer dynamics, growth drivers, opportunities, and competitive threats. Synthesize insights into recommendations

  • Synthesize large bodies of disparate information to quickly develop a point of view and translate that into strategic insights and necessary actions

  • Draw on significant analytical expertise and techniques to create highly insightful models using complex data sets for a variety of purposes including market analysis, financial projections, business cases, project tracking, and more

  • Assess market and competitive dynamics to identify key strategic areas of focus and Develop a wide range of written materials for executive level audiences including owning strategic storylines and synthesizing insights into informative visuals and action plans

  • Monitor and synthesize industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements that will influence Aldevron's strategy and create regular updates to leadership




The essential requirements of the job include:



  • Bachelor's degree in biotechnology, genetics, cell and gene therapy, biomedicine, chemistry, biology, life sciences or related disciplines; top tier MBA, PhD or other graduate degree preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, market intelligence, and competitive intelligence within health care industry with at least 2+ years at a top tier consulting firm

  • Significant analytical expertise and techniques with an outstanding ability to synthesize data into insights to inform strategic decisions; the ability to model and interpret complex data and market trends

  • Ability to understand and evaluate complex technologies and processes related to cell and gene therapies (CGT)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate complex business and scientific issues with any audience and Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment




It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:



  • Cell and gene therapies, CDMOs, and/or bioprocessing

  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
