Job Summary
A Dispatcher is the point-of-service administrator tasked with meeting and exceeding our customer expectations. This individual will address product questions, sales orders, order tracking, quotes and quality solutions to delivery needs. Sustaining the high-level customer rapport with fast-paced and accurate service levels is key to the success of this position. This position is responsible for dispatching trucks with outbound deliveries and scheduling backhauls as needed, coordinating with sales department, answering phones as needed and maintaining accurate records.
Job Responsibilities
'A smile our customers can hear over the phone' - A pleasant, professional telephone presence with a clear voice, tone and demeanor is a must
Prepare invoices, delivery tickets, and related shipping documents
Experienced accurate data entry and document handling - Categorizing, filing, and maintaining ship ticket copies for audit purposes and file all customer records
Coordinate deliveries with trucks and customers to ensure delivery time accuracy
Plan and schedule effective delivery routes and work with trucks to cover loads efficiently
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
Must be able to multi-task with high attention to detail
Skilled in MS Office Package with intermediate skill in Excel, Word, Outlook, accurate data entry and standard office equipment operations. 10-key experience a plus
HS diploma or GED or equivalent in related experience required. Intermediate math skills able to calculate pricing, calculate product by volume, weights or measures equations, and calculate percentiles accurately
Experience with Lawson is preferred
May require occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Endure intermittent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing and pulling
Sitting for extended periods of time
