Lead and supervise the Design Engineer and Shop Order Team to Take Care of Our Customers by:
Providing mentoring, coaching and accountability through performance appraisals to the team.
Assuring consistent application of current design policies, procedures and practices.
Monitoring and reporting weekly payroll information, tracking and coordinating vacation.
Overseeing and managing individual work schedules and the production schedule.
Providing "World Class" service, meeting customer needs quickly and effectively.
Partner with the Division Leadership team to drive continuous improvement.
Support Business Development through customer and specifier interactions promoting Nucor's value proposition and cultivating deeper partnerships.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
BSCE degree with structural emphasis, or other B.S. engineering degree with five years of structural design experience.
Registered PE or Passed PE Exam and Completing PE Experience Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Civil Engineering degree with emphasis in structures.
Joist and Deck, Metal Buildings or Structural Steel Design and/or Detailing Experience.
Prior Leadership Experience.
Group Leader (Special Project or Committee) experience with successful results.
Willing to relocate in the future to pursue advancement opportunities within Nucor.
