This position fulfills key roles in executing new "ways of working" and partnering with business areas to deliver value. The Senior Agile Lead will champion Agile values and principles in the organization, while fostering a culture of collaboration. They will work directly with Scrum and/or Kanban teams, Agile Coaches and Product Owners to help teams adopt agile practices, remove impediments, and improve transparency.
Duties and Responsibilities
Guides Agile concepts and mindset among team members to ensure alignment and effective utilization
Apply and champion Agile concepts and frameworks to elevate Scrum/Kanban and team(s) ability to continuously deliver, increase velocity and reduce delivery risk
Responsible for ensuring Scrum/Kanban is understood and applied
Coaches the team to higher performance using appropriate coaching techniques and creating a culture of continuous improvement
Facilitates and supports Scrum/Kanban events effectively which may include Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Reviews/Demos and Retrospectives
Guides teams in self-organization and cross-functionality
Supports and educates the Product Owners on maximizing the value of the product and team via effective product backlog management
Removes impediments and protects the team from outside interruptions
Supports the team with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information
Resolves impediments with other Agile Leads to increase the effectiveness of Scrum/Kanban in the organization
Works with Agile Coaches and Agile Leads to develop themselves and others within the role
Helps advance and improve Agile practices within the organization
Conducts team agile health assessments and leverage data-driven metrics to identify areas of improvement
Supports efforts to define, embrace, and celebrate our organizational culture
Collaborates with leadership to identify opportunities, facilitate conversations, and drive execution of solutions that improve cultural health
Trains and mentors new Agile Leads with less experience
Experience and Education Requirements
B.S. or B.A. required; advanced degree preferred
Scrum Master Certification A-CSM, PSM III or equivalent
4-7 years' in a Scrum Master role for a team that was diligently applying Agile practices
4-7 years' experience in supporting cross-functional teams and peer leadership
Experience within information technology integrations, development processes, CI/CD and integration architectures
Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) knowledge a plus
Business Process Engineering, Six Sigma or Lean experience a plus
Knowledge of Financial Services industry a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Deep knowledge and demonstrated application of Agile principles, practices, methodologies and tools
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in scaled Agile techniques
Demonstrated ability to coach teams in environments where Agile is not fully understood
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a variety of different individuals including executive leadership
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and independently deliver on high complexity assignments
Exceptional presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop compelling messaging for diverse audiences
Able to work collaboratively in a team environment, with proven ability to build strong relationships and deliver effective consulting and coaching
Demonstrated ability to provide coaching to motivate and retain team members
High degree of integrity and ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive situations with discretion
Ability to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills with high level of attention to detail
Proficient with business productivity tools (e.g. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint)
Demonstrated experiences with advancing Agile concepts within an organization
Other Requirements

Regular and punctual attendance
Some travel required (less than 10%)
