This position is responsible for, but not limited to picking up cardboard and product debris from floor and placing debris into condemned containers or trash receptacles.
Full trash receptacles are weighed on the scale and taken to dumpsters for discarding. Total amount of condemned meat should be reported to Lead/Supervisor.
Must maintain clean floors utilizing either a broom or squeegee.
Handling hot water for washing down floors and comply with USDA and Quality Control Regulations.
This position is responsible for disposing cardboard. This includes removing plastic liners, plastic straps, or any other non-paper material off the cardboard before placing it into the recycle compactor. Open both compactors using the latch. Use the latch to close the compactor. Compactor should be closed after every usage. Press the green button to start the compactor.
No meat product nor plastic should go into the recycle compactor unless told otherwise by lead/supervisor.
This position smock color is red (inedible). You should not touch anything that is edible (blue) including machines.
Candidate must be available to work overtime and weekends.
This is a Second Shift Position.
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must be willing and able to push, pull, and lift up to 40 lbs. frequently.
Must be willing and able to push and pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Must be willing and able perform repetitive bending, squatting, gripping, pushing, lifting, pinching, and pulling.
Must be willing and able to stand on hard surface for up to 10 hours per day.
Must be willing and able to work in temperature ranges 40-75 degrees Fahrenheit.
Must be willing and able to work in wet/and or humid conditions, slippery floors in some areas.
Must be willing and able to push and pull rack on rail system ranging from 65lbs up to 500lbs.
Requirements:
Must have 3 months work history with the same employer.
Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
Must be able to read and write.
Computer skills (if applicable).
Attention to detail.
Ability to solve simple math.
Lock out Training is required.
Must be able to become Forklift Certified (if applicable).
