Job Title:

High Voltage Testing Engineer/Staff II

Location:

Job Summary and Description:

Performs complex analysis with moderate direction and supervision. Works directly with EPRI staff and may engage in supervised interaction with members and industry.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Conducts technical searches and analyzes information in support of the project team

  • May conduct independent research.


Additional Requirements:

  • Assists technical research leads in assessing customer needs, formulating technical approaches, preparing proposals, technical publications/papers, and making presentations.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience required.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Experience with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and/or high-voltage laboratory testing

  • Knowledge of high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) or other types of intentional electromagnetic interference (IEMI)

  • Knowledge of IEC and MIL EMC standards

  • Experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, d-dot probes, fiber optic modems, etc.)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Hands-on aptitude and desire to perform physical work in an outdoor laboratory setting

  • Knowledge of signal and data processing with Matlab or Python

Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship with ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a national security clearance

  • Having an existing security clearance is a plus

The salary range for this position is $76,000 USD to $89,250 USD annually.

This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s annual incentive program. The amount of incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.

This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s standard employee benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, vision, 401k, STD/LTD and paid family leave, life and accident insurance, paid time off (flexible vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay).
