Job Summary and Description:

The Event Support Student Employee provides comprehensive event planning support to EPRI Event Planners and other internal key stakeholders with an emphasis on event data management. This position requires excellent customer service, strong time management, extreme accuracy and attention to detail. The Event Support Student Employee will regularly and proactively collaborate with event planners and EPRI staff (assigned and otherwise) to ensure all EPRI branding standards and event protocol is consistently adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the collection of key data elements pertaining to each event’s attendee registration count, email delivery statistics, event/session participation reporting and satisfaction survey data for each event.

  • Manage Data Clean up project.

  • Cultivate and maintain effective relationships internally with key stakeholders and internal departments through regularly scheduled communication to ensure all EPRI regulations and event protocols are adhered to.

  • Assist in ensuring EPRI branding is properly applied throughout all event landing pages, registration sites and event communication pieces.

  • Assists attendees with registration issues and questions as needed and requested by key stakeholders.

  • Actively seeks opportunities to assist event planners and assigned key stakeholders with planning tasks, execution of events and event close-out documentation

  • Assist in providing social media content, and provides tactical guidance for social media campaigns.

  • Assist in coordination of social media graphics.

Education and Experience:

  • 1 years’ experience in a customer service related field

  • Experience managing competing/concurrent priorities with an emphasis on customer service and strong communication.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity of leading tools including event apps, communication and registration tools, and other tools that lend themselves to promoting engagement and enhancing the event experience, a plus.

  • Expert people skills, particularly in terms of building confidence, demonstrating creativity and follow-through in an effort to support EPRI Event Experience

The hourly rate range for Student positions are:

  • Undergraduate: $16-29 per hour
  • Masters: $25-31 per hour
  • Ph.D: $27-34 per hour

These ranges are an estimate, and the actual hourly rate may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The hourly rate may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

As an EPRI Student, you will not participate in EPRI’s Benefit Programs which includes health insurance, retirement benefits, vacation, sick leave (except as set required by law) and holiday pay. However, as a Student employee you are eligible for the benefits of Social Security, State Disability Insurance, and Workers’ Compensation Insurance.

For Student positions which require one to relocate to an EPRI office. Relocation assistance is not provided and the student will be responsible for covering all relocation costs/expenses.

EPRI participates in E-Verify, an online system operated jointly by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration (SSA). EPRI uses the system to check the work status of new hires by comparing information from the employee's I-9 form against SSA and Department of Homeland Security databases.
