Position Summary:

The Research Assistant will focus on research to be performed in the UNC Biomedical Research Imaging Center. Lab work will be focused on biomedical image analysis, which is essential for understanding the neurodegeneration of the brain and abnormal trajectories of brain disorders such as Alzheimer's disease. Daily duties and responsibilities include image pro-processing, data analysis, and contribution to research articles.


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.


Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Experience with health sciences/medical research.


Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Background in Computer Science, Radiological Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field is preferred.
