Job Description:
As a Database Engineer, you will:
- Consult on and participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Database Engineering.
- Contribute to large-scale planning related to Database Engineering deliverables.
- Review and analyze moderately complex Database Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Resolve moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Database Engineering deliverables.
- Leverage a solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with client personnel in Database Engineering.
Job Expectations:
- Provide 12x7 on-call support.
- Work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
- Work on-site at the stated location.
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 5+ years of Oracle database administration experience.
- 2-4 years of Oracle Migration skills.
- 2-4 years of Performance Engineering experience.
- 4-6 years of Oracle experience.
- 4-6 years of Database administration experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of PostgreSQL administration experience.
- 5+ years of experience with database engineering functions.
- 3+ years of experience with MongoDB, GoldenGate, or Yugabyte.
- 2+ years of performance tuning experience.
- Experience monitoring databases for errors such as existing locks and failed updates.
- Experience leading and driving automation initiatives.
- 2-4 years of monitoring experience.
