We are seeking a Phlebotomist for a Family Practice in Euless, TX!
Job Details:
Job title: Phlebotomist
Location: Euless, TX 76039
Hours: 8:00 am - 12:30pm and 1:30pm - 5:00pm: Mon-Fri
Work type: Contract
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Performs venipuncture using vacutainer, syringe, and butterfly techniques; capillary punctures using heel and finger stick techniques on patients
Collects, identifies, labels, and processes specimens according to protocol
Maintains knowledge of all routine containers and minimum volumes required for specimen collection, and complies with laboratory ordering and billing compliance
Enters laboratory data accurately into the computer system and responds timely to abnormal and panic values
Cleans and sterilizes equipment, instruments, and work area and ensures preventive maintenance is performed on all equipment and monitors
Qualifications & Requirements:
Current National certification as Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Good communication and customer service skills
Computer literacy
Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing to perform quality control checks. 1+ years of experience.
Knowledge of laboratory techniques to perform routine blood and urine tests. 1+ years of experience.
